3. How to use TXN Flow+

Updated on August 5th, 2025

Watch a video…

…or follow a written guide:

The TXN Flow+ bundle will automatically work on all supported transaction types once installed. To see a list of the supported transaction types, go to this article.

Go to one of those supported transaction types and click on the green “TXN Flow+” button:

This will open up a pop-up (it should not take more than a few seconds) and will display the “Flow” view/ “Progress Bar” view. This view will load up with your Procure to Pay or Order to Cash flow and show you all the transaction types/stages in that flow.

The Pop-up has notes in the top left (blue). These tell you what the symbols and colours mean. It has some links to our website and the list of supported transaction (also blue), in the top right. There are also some buttons in the top centre (green).

The current Transaction is marked with a red button (red).

If the circle for a transaction type is grey it means there are no transactions of that type:

If the circle is blue then it means there is:

Each transaction of a type will be rendered as its own button. These buttons are links. Note, the circles are not links. The rectangular buttons are.

The amount listed above the circle is the sum of all transactions of that type:

For instance, in this example above, each purchase order was for $3.

There may be occasions where both flows/processes will render:

This occurs when you have a Vendor Return Authorization or a Return Authorization that has been receipted/fulfilled and so there is an item fulfilment or item receipt that needs to be displayed.

Finally, if you see a V next to a payment, that is because the payment is void. It will display on the left of the button for the payment:

There may be transactions only indirectly related to your current transaction. For instance, if you are on a purchase order that has been billed and paid, there may have been other bills (and so other purchase orders and so on) that are indirectly linked to your current transaction by virtue of terminating in the same payment. You can view this full tree of transactions by clicking on the “View Transaction Map” button:

This will load up the Transaction Map view:

There is a key with some notes on the top left (red). There is a button to go back to the previous view called the “Back to Progress View” button (green). There is the diagram in the centre (blue).

In the diagram, the circles act as links to the transaction when you click on them.

The red transaction is your current transaction.

Purple transactions are credits.

It will not show you if a payment is voided like previous view, but it will show you the connections between transactions more clearly in complicated webs. For instance, below is a screenshot from our earlier example where it displayed both flows with the return authorization. This is much easier to make sense of.

The final difference is that the amounts listed are not for all transactions of that type but rather for each individual transaction.

Lastly, the close button will close the pop-up and reload your transaction page:
