2. Creating a folder for the CSV DropZone Product

Updated on August 15th, 2025

Each of your “dropzones” must have a folder specified in your NetSuite file cabinet that NetSuite will upload the CSV file into. You can make a generic one or you can make specific ones. You can use a pre-existing folder - it is entirely up to you!

This video just shows you how you can make folders in NetSuite if you do not know how so that you are empowered to do it whenever you need to:

How to create a folder in NetSuite:

The exact pathway may differ based on your user role.

1. Go through “Documents > Files > File Cabinet” and click on “File Cabinet.”

2. Click on the “New Folder” Button

3. Name your folder and save it.

4. Go through on “Documents > Files > File Cabinet” and click on “File Cabinet” again.

5. Find your folder and look at its internal ID.

If you cannot see the internal ID:

  1. Hover over your Home icon and click on “Set Preferences”
  1. Check the “Show Internal IDs checkbox”
  1. Save

You should now be able to see internal IDs.
