Or follow a written guide:

To create a CSV DropZone you must (broadly) follow these steps:

  1. Create or find an existing CSV Import Map and get its ID.
  2. Have a folder in the File Cabinet to store the CSV file on import and grab the folders internal ID.
  3. Create a dropzone configuration that links to the import map and the folder.
  4. Save the dropzone configuration.
  5. Refresh the page.

If you want to make a new CSV Import Template:

  1. In the product's page, click on “Add New CSV Import Template”

2. This opens up the standard NetSuite Import Assistant page. If you are unaware of how to use the Import Assistant, there are standard training resources provided by NetSuite that you will need to look up.

Alternatively, you could access the page through your center, through “Setup >  Import/Export > Import CSV Records”

Once you have created your import, or, if instead you had a pre-existing import, go through “Setup > Import/Export > Saved CSV Imports” and click on “Saved CSV Imports.”

Get the internal ID next to the name of your import:

Then, back in the product's page, click on the “New DropZone Configuration” button:

This will open the New CSV DropZone Configuration Record page:

Enter the following information:

  1. Name - this is just the name of the record. No one will see it. For simplicity's sake, make it the same thing you would want the user to see as a title.
  2. CSV Import Template ID - paste the ID of the CSV Import Template that you have just grabbed in the previous steps and paste it in here.
  3. File Cabinet Folder ID
    1. We will need to go and grab the ID of the folder in your file cabinet that the CSV file can be uploaded into for NetSuite to see.
    2. Hover over “Documents > Files > File Cabinet ” and, while holding control, click on “File Cabinet” to open the file cabinet up in a new window:

Grab the Internal ID of the folder you want to use:

Come back to the CSV Configuration Record page and paste it into the File Cabinet Folder ID

4. Fill out the Label field with the title that you want the user to see. Just copy the Name field's value.

5. Write a description that tells the user what the import does and why you do it.

6. Define the employees and the roles who should see this dropzone when they look at the dropzone page. You must select both employees and roles. You may select multiple values of each.

7. Click Save

Your new CSV DropZone will now display on your CSV DropZone page:

You will need to refresh the page to display changes.
